Marisa Phan

Program Director, CRP Eastern Los Angeles

Marisa earned her Bachelor of Psychology and her Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Management. Marisa joined CRP in August of 2008 as a Behavioral Trainer and moved on to launch CRP's first crisis team in Los Angeles in July of 2012. She recently took on her new position to begin our newest Eastern Los Angeles team in 2016. Previous to working with the crisis team, Marisa worked as a teacher at Spectrum Schools and for The ARC. Marisa has served the developmentally disabled population since 1998. She specializes in working with non-verbal clients with autism. Marisa is well versed in the usage of behaviorism, discrete trial, PECS, and speaks Spanish.


Program Coordinator

Mel earned his Bachelors of Arts in Latino Studies and a Minor in Criminal Justice. Previous to joining CRP, Mel was employed as a Facility Manager in a residential group home for at-risk Probation youth. Mel has also worked with Severe Emotionally Disturbed adolescents that acquire acute therapy in mental health. Mel had the opportunity to work with consumers that have autism, cerebral palsy, and mental illness. In addition, Mel worked as a Supervisor in the psychiatric ward in a locked down level 14 setting with severe emotional and suicidal ideation consumers in the Greater Los Angeles area. Mel is fluent in Spanish and joined the CRP team in January 2018.


​Supporting Supervisor

Liz earned her Bachelor's of Arts in Feminist Studies and a Minor in Education. Prior to joining CRP, Liz was employed at a substance abuse clinic as a substance abuse counselor for individuals struggling with opioid addiction. Liz joined the CRP team in October 2018 and is fluent in Spanish.


Crisis Counselor

Ashley received her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Marketing. Prior to joining CRP, Ashley worked for 10 years assisting to develop youth programs including one for students with intellectual disabilities. Ashley continues to volunteer for various non-profit organizations in her local community. Ashley speaks Spanish fluently and joined the CRP team in August of 2019.


Crisis Counselor

Genesis received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology. Prior to working at CRP, Genesis worked as a Behavioral Interventionist in a home setting for children with autism. In addition, she worked as a Direct Support Professional in group homes for adults with developmental disabilities. She volunteered at a suicide and crisis prevention hotline for three years. Genesis speaks Spanish fluently and joined the CRP team in August of 2017.


Crisis ​Counselor

Louis received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Marketing. Prior to joining CRP, he worked as an Instructional Aide at a school district serving clients with developmental issues such as autism. In addition, he coaches a JV girls soccer team. Louis is fluent in Spanish and joined the CRP team in October 2017. 


Crisis Counselor

Mauricio earned a Bachelor of Arts in Theater with an emphasis on Community and Education. He has worked as an Instructional Aide for two school districts serving students with developmental disabilities. Mauricio was also employed as a Youth Counselor at a Domestic Violence Resource Agency.  Mauricio speaks Spanish fluently and joined the CRP team in November of 2019.


Crisis Counselor

Sharice has earned her Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Management. Previous to working at CRP, Sharice worked as a youth counselor at an acute psychiatric health facility working with children who have endured complex trauma or faced with severe emotional, behavioral and learning challenges. In addition, she has worked as a Behavior Interventionist and Health Instructional Assistant for children with autism throughout the Greater Los Angeles area. Sharice joined the CRP team in August of 2019.
