Mariyah Givens

​Program Director, CRP South Central

Mariyah earned her Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology, with a Marriage and Family emphasis, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.  Previous to joining CRP, Mariyah was employed as a counseling trainee providing individual and group counseling services to middle and high school aged children. Mariyah also worked at an agency that provides neurodiverse teens and adults with housing resources, job coaching, and independent living skills, as well as weekly social skills groups. Mariyah joined the CRP team in October of 2016 and has been the Director since April of 2019.


Program Coordinator

Carina received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Rehabilitation Services. She worked in the mental health field for two years, prior to joining CRP. Carina has a background in working with Los Angeles County Probation for youth and adults. Carina speaks Spanish and joined CRP in October of 2018.


Crisis Counselor

Grace joins the team with 30 years of work experience in the Public Social Services field. She obtained her degree in Criminal Justice and Legal Studies. Grace enjoyed working with diverse populations such as the transient, mentally ill, and disabled. Grace is excited to assist individuals to express their needs and wants, while advocating for their needs. She joined the CRP team in January 2020 and is a fluent Spanish speaker.


Crisis Counselor

Jessika earned her Bachelors of Science in Public Health.  Previous to joining CRP, Jessika worked closely on home cases and with LAUSD as a Behavior Technician providing ABA therapy to adults as well as middle and high school-aged children with developmental disabilities. Additionally, Jessika has experience working with the elderly and at-risk youth population. Jessika joined the CRP team in July of 2019. 


Crisis Counselor

Jose previously worked as a Los Angeles Unified District Special Education Assistant. He has worked with a diverse population of individuals with both developmental disabilities and mental health concerns. Jose supported challenging students in special education programs working as a Behavior Interventionist in Charter Schools as a 1:1 aide. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in History and a Minor in Spanish. Jose speaks Spanish fluently and joined the CRP team in February of 2018.


Crisis Counselor

Joshua received a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Psychology. Previous to joining CRP, Joshua was employed in a hospital and a rehabilitation center working closely with diverse clients in improving their physical, occupational, and cognitive skills. Joshua has previous experience volunteering for a warmline managing crisis calls. Joshua is fluent in Spanish and joined the CRP team in April 2020.


Crisis Counselor

Kaitlyn earned her Master's degree in Criminal Justice Management. Before joining CRP, she was a Registered Behavior Technician who provided ABA therapy to children, along with parent and caregiver training. Prior to that, Kaitlyn worked at a children's psychiatric hospital. She also has experience with at-risk adolescents in a group home setting. Kaitlyn joined the CRP team in May of 2020.


Crisis Counselor

Richard earned his Bachelor degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology. From a young age, Richard has always had an interest in psychology and mental health. He has been consistently involved in related psychology course work and employment since high school. Richard has experience working with many different populations including minors, combat veterans, and first responders. Richard joined the CRP team in October 2019.
