Cindy Florido

Program Director, CRP East Bay Area

Cindy is an Associate Professional Counselor for the state of Georgia and is in the process of obtaining full licensure for the state of California  She received her bachelor's degree in psychology and a dual master's degree in counseling and forensic psychology.  Cindy previously worked at CRP for four years as a Crisis Counselor and Weekend Supervisor.  Her experience is extensive in community-based organizations as a counseling therapist for victims of sexual assault and domestic violence. Cindy also served as an advocate for victims of crime for the District Attorney's Office.  As the Program Director for CRP, she is eager to provide a therapeutic lens to the program and activities in accordance with the mission and goals of the agency.Cindy rejoined CRP in December 2019.


Program Coordinator

Tommy is currently attending college to earn an Associate's degree in Sociology. Before becoming the Program Coordinator, Tommy was a Crisis Counselor with CRP. Prior to working with CRP East Bay Area, Tommy worked as a Youth Enrichment Coach and has years of experience working in a managerial position. Tommy is bilingual and is fluent in both English and Vietnamese. He joined the CRP team in June of 2019.


Crisis Counselor

Erick is currently working toward earning his bachelor's degree. Prior to joining CRP, he worked with clients with developmental disabilities for three years in a day program. Erick is bilingual and speaks Spanish fluently. 


Crisis Counselor

Geinel has earned a Bachelor's degree in Sociology and a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy. She has experience working as a mental health specialist working with individuals diagnosed with severe mental illness. Geinel also has experience working in school settings, ranging from preschool to high school. Geinel joined the CRP team in June 2018.


Crisis Counselor

Heather earned her Bachelors degree in Sociology from. Currently, Heather is attending a graduate program earning her Masters degree in Social Work with an emphasis on mental health and education among children, youth, and families. Heather has experience working with at-risk children, and volunteers her time outside of CRP to several local non-profit organizations focusing on helping our society's most vulnerable populations.


Crisis Counselor

Joey earned his Associates degree in Mental Health, Social Services, and Addiction Counseling, and is currently working on his Bachelors degree in Social Work. Joey has a goal of becoming a school social worker. He has many years of experience working with people of all ages with varying special needs. Joey has worked one on one, in educational settings, coached sports and recreational activities, and continually advocates for people who have special needs.


Crisis Counselor

Joshua has earned a Bachelor's degree in Sociology in May 2017. Joshua is working on becoming a school counselor. Joshua started working for CRP in June of 2016. Josh speaks English and Korean.


Crisis Counselor

Matthew has served people with disabilities in various capacities for over five years. He has worked with kids and adults of all ages and abilities and loves what he does. Prior to working with CRP, Matthew practiced as an Applied Behavioral Analysis therapist for two years. He has earned an AAT in Psychology. Matthew joined the CRP team in September 2019.


Crisis Counselor

Michael has previous work experience in sexual assault crisis and response, in addition to working with those with developmental disabilities. He is attending school to earn a bachelor's degree in Sociology with a minor in Sign Language. Michael would like to be able to help as many demographics as possible. He looks forward to working with this team and contributing all of his energy into making a difference, one crisis at a time. Michael joined the CRP team in January 2020.


Crisis Counselor

Vlad is working towards earning his Associates in Fire ​Science and ​is ​on his path to receiving a Paramedics License. Vlad is currently also working as an Emergency Medical Technician, transporting and taking care of injured and medically ill patients within the scope of a California EMT Basic. Vlad also is working for the Alameda County Fire Department as a Department Aid transporting tools and equipment to fire stations. Vlad has been working with the Crisis ​Response Project ​since​ spring ​of ​2014. Vlad  speaks English and Russian.
